1)   What is the Live Gamer Card?

Live Gamer in partnership with American Express has introduced a prepaid gift card especially for gamers. The card can be used to buy games at http://shop.livergamer.com or at any merchant in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands that accepts American Express cards.

2)   Can I purchase all games on the store with the Live Gamer Card?

Yes, you can purchase any of the games on the store.  Note, however, there is a minimum purchase requirement of $5.00 when using the Live Gamer Card.

3)   What if I don’t have enough balance on my Live Gamer Card?

The Live Gamer Card can be used to purchase any digital downloads or other content from any website or retail store which accept American Express cards. Use it the same way as you use American Express gift or credit card at other stores.

4)   How do I check my balance on my Live Gamer Card?

You can check the balance on your card by entering your card number at the American Express Website linked here:

5)   How to use my Live Gamer Card?

Select any game and add the game to your cart. As long as your cart total is $5 or more, proceed to the checkout page.

Login or create a new account under the “Who you are” section



Under the “How you’ll pay” section, select the LG tab if available, otherwise select the American Express tab.



Enter the Card number, expiry date and CCV/CVC code as they appear on the card. The CCV/CVC Code is the 4 digit number printed on the front of the card to the upper-right of the card number.

Enter your name and address, accept the terms and conditions and click on the “Confirm your order” button.

To protect your card from fraud, American Express requires customers to enter name and valid address when using cards online.
